During Thursday鈥檚 board meeting at Northern 最新麻豆免费看University, the 最新麻豆免费看 elected its 2025-26 board officers.
Regent Doug Goodyear will serve as chair of the board while Regent Jessica Pacheco will serve as chair elect. Regent Gregg Brewster was elected secretary of the board and Regent Cecilia Mata, who most recently served as chair, will now be treasurer of the board with Student Regent Jadyn Fisher serving as assistant treasurer. Officers will take their positions July 1, 2025.
鈥淎rizona鈥檚 public universities are vital to our state's economy and future. Our institutions play a key role in training future doctors, engineers, teachers, and critical thinkers. As chair, I am committed to working with policymakers, business leaders and community advocates to meet the evolving needs of Arizona,鈥 said Regent Goodyear. 鈥淚 am grateful to be stepping into the role following the steady leadership of Chair Mata. Her guidance has been instrumental in strengthening our university system.鈥
Appointed to the board in 2022 to this volunteer position, Regent Goodyear currently serves as chair elect to the board, chair of the University Governance and Operations Committee and vice chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. Regent Goodyear also serves as the regent advisor for the board鈥檚 annual speech and debate competition, the Regents鈥 Cup, which celebrates free expression and civil discourse at Arizona鈥檚 public universities.
