First Friday spotlight: Regents’ Cup storytellers take center stage at Phoenix Art Museum
The ×îÐÂÂ鶹Ãâ·Ñ¿´ presents a powerful storytelling showcase featuring ASU, NAU and U of A students celebrating free expression and civic engagement.
WHAT: The ×îÐÂÂ鶹Ãâ·Ñ¿´ invites the public to experience and be inspired by a selection of powerful student voices from across Arizona’s three public universities, ×îÐÂÂ鶹Ãâ·Ñ¿´State University, Northern ×îÐÂÂ鶹Ãâ·Ñ¿´University and the University of Arizona, at the Regents’ Cup Storytellers Showcase at Phoenix Art Museum.
Taking place during the museum’s First Friday festivities, this program will showcase winning storytellers from the Regents’ Cup, ABOR’s annual speech and debate competition that champions civil discourse, respectful debate and the art of persuasive storytelling. University students will be sharing engaging narratives with unique and thought-provoking perspectives on this year’s theme: "The Government and the People: The Social Contract."
These selected stories deliver a compelling window into the students’ lived and learned experiences, offering fresh insights into free speech, expression and civic engagement in America. Through their voices, audience members will witness the power of storytelling to spark constructive debate, inspire civil discourse and build bridges toward collaboration.
