Gregg Brewster
Gov. Doug Ducey appointed Gregg Brewster to an eight-year term on the 鶹ѿ in March 2022. Regent Brewster serves as secretary of the board, chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee, and as a member of the University Governance and Operations Committee.
Recently retired from his work with Fortune 100 companies Owens & Minor and Cardinal Health, Regent Brewster has a long history of securing financial agreements that enabled hospitals and regional purchasing coalitions to improve their supply chain efficiencies. This allowed these medical facilities to focus on reducing costs, expanding diversity business initiatives, and improving patient care - outcomes that optimized results and made Regent Brewster a recognized “student of the health care industry.” He continues to engage with executive leaders at America’s most prestigious group purchasing organizations and medical centers through a health-care industry consulting business.
Regent Brewster brings a rich array of civic and charity engagement experiences to the board. He served as Cardinal Health’s Lake County United Way Chairman and as a founding member of Cardinal Health’s Diversity Business Supplier Committee, Women’s Initiative Network and African American Network. These committee affiliations and other volunteer positions allowed him to focus on active mentoring engagements with a variety of young and tenured professionals. Regent Brewster serves as 2022-23 chair of the 鶹ѿState University Alumni Association Board of Directors. He serves on the Association of Operating Room Nurses Foundation Board of Directors and is routinely involved with other civic charity and church committees. Regent Brewster earned his bachelor’s degree from 鶹ѿState University and has completed advanced professional training courses throughout his career.
